STANDBY SYSTEM
If you have pre-purchased a seat in a MSCV safety class and accept a seat as a standby, you will NOT receive a refund on your pre-purchased seat and you will be asked to pay full price for the standby position. You will end up paying twice the cost of the course with NO refunded portion available.
Please do not show up and ask for a standby position if you have already purchased a seat.
Standby program and how it works:
More often than not, one or more of our prepaid students
will not show up on the first day for the classroom portion of the Basic RiderCourse.
MSCV, Inc. has a "stand-by" policy at each of it's training locations. If you would like to try to get in a class that is full, you can arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start of that class.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Contact the instructor in the classroom and place your name in the "hat".
DO NOT CONTACT THE OFFICE TO SIGN UP FOR A STANDBY:
You sign up in the classroom , day one, by showing up in person.
At approximately 15 minutes after the scheduled start of class, the instructor will conduct a drawing of all stand-by's present. Names will be drawn and the person(s) name selected gets the first "No-show" opening, next name selected gets the second "No-show" opening, etc.
15 minutes after the scheduled classroom start time, any registered student who is not in their seat, loses that seat with no refund given. The stand-by students are then asked to fill out the class paperwork, their tuition fee of $175 cash is collected and they are officially enrolled in the class. Stand-by students being accepted in the class must pay their tuition with cash or money order (made out to MSCV, INC.). No checks or credit cards will be accepted the night of class.

IF YOU DO NOT GET IN A CLASS ON YOUR FIRST TRY, YOU MAY ATTEND THE NEXT AVAILABLE CLASS ON ANY SCHEDULED DAY BELOW AND TRY AGAIN , AND AGAIN.
Be there 15 minutes before the start time to get your assigned number.
HAVE YOUR PROPER RIDING GEAR WITH YOU AND BE PREPARED TO RIDE SHOULD YOU GET IN. HAVE BOTTLED WATER AND SUNSCREEN AVAILABLE.

North side - classroom is at 2300 West Broad Street, Richmond Va. the main DMV building . Check in with security. Driving range is Saturday 7 a.m. - 12 p.m. and Saturday classroom 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., Sunday driving range 7 a.m. - 12 p.m. graduation Sunday 12 p.m. Directions

Classroom is 8:30 - 11 a.m.at Richmond Harley Davidson each day ( Monday & Tuesday or Thursday & Friday) driving range is 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. each day (Monday & Tuesday or Thursday & Friday). You graduate the end of your second day while on the driving range.
