No, you can view the schedule by clicking on the link to your right labeled"ENROLL NOW!" Then find a currently offered course that interest you and click on the gold folder to start looking at the open seats and dates available.

Do you furnish motorcycles and helmets?
YES, we furnish the motorcycle & helmets for the Jump Start and Basic Riding Courses.

How do I replace my DMV license/waiver or MSF certificate?
The MSF completion card can ONLY be replaced 24 months or less from the date of issue. The DMV license/waiver completion card can only be replaced 12 months or less from original date issued. Go to: Card Replacement

What is Jump Start?
Jump Start is our optional Pre course before taking the BRC. 3 hours of familiarization.
Groups of 6 or less - with personalized attention. We furnish the motorcycles & helmets. One or two RiderCoaches. No certificate is issued. NO DRIVING TEST, NO WRITTEN TEST Come out and become comfortable.

Which course gives me a class "M" on my license?
Basic RiderCourse (BRC)
The BRC is the ONLY class offered to get your Class "M" license:

What is the cost of the BRC?
Typical 3 day BRC 24 student class is $145 total cost
3 day Sunday, Monday, Tuesday special half size class BRC is $165 total cost
2 day special BRC classes are $165 total cost

Do I need to know how to ride a bicycle?
YES! If you have not recently ridden a bicycle, you may be unable to pass the Basic RiderCourse (BRC). Balance is VERY important!
You will be required to withdraw from the class if unsafe to yourself or others. No refunds, transfers or credits.

How long is the Basic RiderCourse (BRC) ?
The BRC is 15-18 hours depending on weather, how each class develops, etc:

Our typical three day BRC is 2 1/2 hours of classroom Friday evening, 5 hours driving Saturday morning & 2 1/2 hours of classroom on the same Saturday afternoon, Sunday has 5 hours driving in the morning with graduation at noon.

Our special two day BRC is 2 1/2 hours of classroom each day in the mornings with 5 hours of driving each day in the afternoons. Your graduation is in the evening of the second day.


Do I get a motorcycle license if I successfully complete the BRC ?
YES! Upon successful completion, a MSF completion card & a Virginia DMV Completion Certificate/30 day temporary motorcycle Class "M" license will be issued. The Virginia DMV Completion Certificate will waive BOTH the knowledge & skills test at any Virginia DMV for one year from the date issued on the certificate. The Virginia DMV Completion Certificate will also grant the student (19 years of age or older) a 30-day temporary Class "M" license to drive a motorcycle from the date of the successful completion of a Virginia BRC.


Do I need a learner's permit to attend the Jump Start or Basic RiderCourse?
You do not need a learner's permit to take the Jump Start or Basic RiderCourse.

I have a out of State MSF card, will Virginia DMV accept it?
NO, Virginia DMV will NOT accept out of State MSF cards.

I want to operate my motorcycle on Government property. How do I get the MSF card to drive on a military base?
You can enroll in the BRC or the "combined Intermediate & Experience course" to obtain your MSF card which will allow you to operate a M/C on any U S Military installation or other Government property.

I'm in the military and have a out of State MSF card , will Virginia accept my MSF card ?
No, Virginia's DMV will NOT accept out of State MSF cards. Military personnel will be required to successfully complete a Virginia Motorcycle program to obtain a MSF card.

I lost my MSF certificate or DMV completion card. How do I get a replacement?
MSF Certificates can be replaced within 24 months or less from your date of graduation. DMV Completion cards can ONLY be replaced within 12 moths or less from date of your graduation. click here for directions on replacing one or both cards


Intermediate RiderCourse (IRC)
(6 students maximum) 3 hours. No classroom, no driving tests. After successfully completing the BRC you may wish to practice with your own motorcycle and safety gear.

Experience RiderCourse (ERC)
3 or 4 open public dates will be offered, private groups of 6 or more contact MSCV.
4+ hours, No classroom, No written test, use your own motorcycle. Upon successful completion, a certificate is issued which may help on a insurance discount.
